I hadn't seen Sean in many years, but I'll never forget him. The ponytail, the warm dark eyes, that million dollar smile...We had a brief but beautiful friendship. He saw in me more than I was; I liked his version better than the real thing and tried to live up to it. His kindness meant a lot to a shy girl who did better with books than with people; I've always been grateful to him, but I'm sure that he had no idea. I guess you never know how much simple gestures can mean to somebody else. I always hoped that Sean would find some kind of peace; maybe he finally has. With deepest sympathy.
