Obituary of Sean R McGoldrick

Sean R McGoldrick, 35, of Fitchburg and formerly of Danvers, died Monday October 26 at the Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster following a brief illness. Born in Salem he was the son of Karen (Tiplady) McGoldrick of Danvers and the late Brian E McGoldrick. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, class of 1998. While in high school, Sean worked at Treadwell’s Ice Cream in Danvers Following his graduation from Danvers High School, Sean matriculated at Fitchburg State College. For the past 15 years, he was employed as Rounds Cook at Slattery’s Restaurant in Fitchburg. Sean enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially on his overseas trips to Japan and Ireland where he embraced their culture and made many friends. He also enjoyed reading and was well versed in many subjects’ areas, his favorite being science. He was a great conversationalist and always had a smile on his face. Sean is survived by his mother, Karen McGoldrick and her partner, Daniel Coyle of Danvers, his two sisters, Erin S. McGoldrick of Peabody and Megan E. McGoldrick of Phoenix, AZ, his nephew Brian J.M. McGoldrick of Shirley, and by his aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his very dear close friends, Erin Doherty, Jake Moore, Bob Mersereau, and Mark Toce. Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Expressions of sympathy can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
