I am so sad and stunned to hear of Jody's passing. Although I had not see Jody since Victoria left Bridge to Learning, I thought of them often. My son would ask about Victoria all the time.
Again, I am so sorry. Jody was simply amazing. She had a beautiful light that shone in her eyes when she was talking about the kids.
I will keep your family in my thoughts.

I am so saddened to hear of Jody's passing. I know she is in good hands, she is with Nana Rachel, Uncle Dennis, Grandpa Lundy and Grandma Vera who all loved her dearly. But it still saddens me to know that all of her loved ones here had to let her go. Rest in peace beautiful Jody.

Although I knew Jody a short time her kindness, compassion and love of life has instilled in me a deeper understanding of the world we live in. To Marc, Victoria and Michael and to the rest of the family, I feel very blessed to have seen Jody just a little over a week ago to say goodbye and thank her for being a friend to me and my family. She is now an angel to all of us and her memory will forever be embedded in all the fortunate souls she came into contact with over her much too short stay on earth. I know being a loving mother and wife were so important to her. May you always rest in peace and forever surround us with your presence as you enter the kindgom of heaven. We shall miss you but always remember that you are not very far away from all you loved and those that loved you. Dear heart, I will always remember and cherish our friendship. From A Wonderful Life I will wait for the bells to ring to know you are at peace and indeed a most cherished angel in the kingdom of heaven. Allan, Howie, Josh and Mom.

My wife, Kerry, and I were shocked to have heard of Jody's struggle and the recent news of her passing. This is sad beyond what any words can describe. Her smile and warm demeanor simply made people feel good about themselves. There are a fortunate few in life who hear their calling, embrace it, and are able to make the lives of others better. Jody was one of these people, she had that gift, and she shared her gift with everyone who came in contact with her. We are very fortunate that she taught both of our daughters, inspiring their curiosity and creating the foundation for them to enjoy learning as they move through elementary school and throughout their lives. She was a lovely person and will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

With our sympathy and condolences,
Kerry & John Yurewicz

Dear Marc, Victoria,Michael, Cosiello Family, and Estelle,
I knew the day I met Jody we would be friends forever. Our love of teaching and strong Italian backgrounds connected us immediately and allowed us to have lots of happy times during teaching and many giggles about our crazy Italian traditions! She loved her family and enjoyed sharing stories about you all while at work. She was a very proud wife, mom, daughter, best friend, sister and teacher. Her compassion, willingness to collaborate and gentle, gentle ways always made me be a better teacher and person. Thank you for sharing her with me. My life will be forever changed but I will always keep Jody in my heart. On your dark days, please try to remember how much she was loved and how much she mattered to all of us, especially me.
With my deepest sympathy,
Xo,
Anne Manna

The entire Burke School Community is thinking of the Carregal and Casiello Family. We are all saddened by the loss of an extraordinary woman. It always amazed me how Jody would leave her school where she worked to attend meetings or help out at her children's school. Her passion to help make our school a better place, for our children of the future, would shine through her sincere voice, great suggestions, and radiant smile. We are all thinking and praying for each and every family member, friend, co-worker, and student. By reading all the previous passages it's clear that Jody touched so many lives and were honored to have know such an Amazing woman. Dear Carregal and Casiello families - We are so very sorry for the loss of your daughter, mother, wife, and sister. My son Patrick had Jody for kindergarten, and she provided a very warm, dedicated, and encouraging introduction to the school years for him. And, she happened to be a great teacher, too.
