Obituary of Jody L. (Casiello) Carregal

– Jody L. (Casiello) Carregal, 39, beloved wife of Marc Carregal, died peacefully on Friday January 1, 2016 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston while in the comforting presence of her husband, following an extended illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Anthony and Charlotte (Cuoco) Casiello of Peabody. She grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1994. She completed undergraduate work at Salem State College, and in 2004 completed her Masters degree from Salem State College in Education. Mrs. Carregal was an Elementary School Teacher at the Joshua Eaton Elementary School, and had served as Assistant Principal. Jody was passionate about children and their education. She served on numerous education committees with the Reading School Department and in Peabody schools. She won several awards, two Teacher Tribute Awards with the Town of Reading Education Foundation for her work with her students. She is survived by her husband Marc Carregal of Peabody, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage; two children, Michael age 9 and Victoria age 6 of Peabody; her parents Anthony & Charlotte Casiello of Peabody; a sister Chanel Casiello and brother Allan Spencer both of Peabody; her grandmother Gloria Cuoco of Peabody; her extended family, daughter-in-law of the late Alfred Carregal and his wife Caroline, and daughter-in-law of Camille Carregal of Malden; she was sister-in-law of Justine & Gary Fialkosky of Newton, Matthew Carregal and Alex Carregal both of Malden; aunt of Sophia & Jillian Fialkosky of Newton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday January 8, 2016 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
