Obituary of Patricia T. (Kowalski) Splaine

Patricia T. (Kowalski) Splaine, 80, of Peabody, loving wife of Patrick J. Splaine, passed away from complications of Parkinsons Disease, on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers. Patricia was born in Peabody, on April 13, 1935, daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Daniel) Kowalski. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1952. She then pursued her education at Chandler College in Boston where she received her Associates Degree as a legal secretary. Patricia was involved with Judge Murphy in the opening of his Law Office in Peabody, and remained there as a legal secretary and office manager with the Law Offices of Murphy, Ryan and O’Keefe. She retired in 1985 to care for her mother, and to assist Patrick in his numerous business ventures. With her parents and friends, she assisted in the building of St. Joseph’s Polish Church in Peabody, and was of assistance at many functions at St. Michaels Society, and as a hobby, she loved to cook. Patricia was an avid golfer and a member of the Ferncroft Country Club, and travelled extensively to Hawaii, Aruba and the Bahamas golfing on several of their courses. Her motto in life was “Persevere and You Shall Be Rewarded”. In 1955, she married the love her life, Patrick, and they shared 60 years of marriage together. Patricia was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Frances Kowalski. Patrick will receive relatives and fiends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. (downtown location), Peabody. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 28th followed by her Mass of Christian of Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin Street, Peabody.
