I just learned that John G. Carlson, better known as JC, had passed away since 2016. I was his roommate for the Junior year at Yale University. John and I were also teammates for intramural volleyball team for our residential college. John was a great friend and on one occasion that he carried me back to our dormitory room as I passed out at our residential college's party. He remains in my found memory as a great person and a friend forever.

I am sorry to read of the your unexpected loss. The bible tells us that our dead loved ones will be resurrected- John 5:28,29. Your family will have the chance of seeing Mr. Carlson again. This thought has comforted many in your same situation and I pray that it comforts you.

Randall and I are so shocked and sorry to hear of John's passing. I was a good friend of his sister Christina growing up, and John was interesting and intelligent to hang out with- not the usual annoying kid brother at all. Later at Yale he used to come over to our apartment to bake cookies, bringing his characteristic wit and lots of laughter. I will remember him fondly. Our sincere condolences to his wife, children, and all of his family--Randall and Lisa (Ihde) Costa
