I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends. I was very sorry to learn of the passing of your loved one. Death is a very devastating experience. Nothing can compare to the deep pain you and your family are feeling. God's word helps us to see that God himself hates death. At 1Corinthians 15:26 he tells us, "The last enemy, death, is brought to nothing." God views death as an enemy and God has a yearning to end it. Notice what God says he will do at Isaiah 25:8. "God will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces." But God's word also gives us more hope at John 5:28,29. May God's word and all the wonderful memories and good times you and your family have shared together bring comfort during this difficult time.
