Obituary of Elizabeth A Bishop

Elizabeth (Betty) Antoinette Bishop passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2017 at the age of 87. She was married to Laurentius A Bisschop in July, 1953 in Boston, Mass, and they changed their name to Bishop, and he changed his name to Lawrence. She lost her husband in 1972, and raised her 6 children (Marian Frauenglass, Paula, Rudy (deceased), Julia (Rick) Koehler, Roger (Riri) and Bernard (Katy) as a single parent. She had 11 grandchildren. Betty had one brother, John, and one sister (Mary, deceased). Betty worked as a Dental Hygienist for 30 years, for Dr. Leopold Lustig, a prominent Prosthodontist in Boston. She spent most of her life in the Mission Hill area of Boston. She attended Dorchester High School for Girls, and received her degree from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene located in the Fenway. Betty was always smiling and laughing, and had an easy going personality. Her favorite activity was square dancing, where she made many friends along the way. A memorial service will be held on April 22nd 2017 at 11am at Brooksby Village Retirement Community, 300 Brooksby Village, Drive, Peabody, her home for the past 11 years. The family would like to thank Betty’s loyal caregivers at Brooksby Village, who were always by her side to provide hugs and a helping hand.
