The Mahoneys were a wonderful part of my childhood as Alison and I grew up as friends since second grade just one street from each other. My early memories of the household was one of always being busy with family coming and going. There was lots of cooking, stories, & laughter but most of all...love. Such a big family... Your mom was always interested to sit and listen to the latest news of what was going on with my mom and dad. In the later years, I'd see your mom walking all over the place. I marveled at her trek to Byron's house despite having her health battles. I'd stop & ask her if she wanted a ride but she would politely say "No thank you, I need to get my walk in." Your mom's faith was paramount. As long as I can remember, I knew I would see The Mahoneys and the extended family gathered together attending the 4:00 or daily Mass at St. Adelaide's. I'm truly saddened to hear of her passing. I hope that your memories of such a beautiful mom, grandmother and great-grandmother will help you all smile as you come together to celebrate her wonderful life. My deepest sympathies.<br> Candie

My condolences to the family. I grew up across the street from the Mahoney's on Samoset Rd. I remember Stephen and Kevin mostly. My mom died in 2015 but I have passed the obituary onto another former neighbor Virginia McLaughlin who's son Barry played with her sons. Fond memories, especially the night our pipes froze when I was little and Jackie and John took us in for the night. Sorry to hear about her passing.
