Obituary of Vanessa B. Cavaco

Vanessa B. Cavaco, 37, or Pawtucket, RI, passed away August 21, 2017, after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident. Vanessa was born in Algarve, Portugal on August 23, 1979, daughter of Belarmino and Maria Rosa (Braganca) Cavaco. The Cavaco family immigrated to United States, and Vanessa was raised and educated in Peabody, where she graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Class of 1999. Everyone that knew Vanessa, knew she was full of life, love, curiosity, and always persistent. She had a big heart, was very understanding, ang would stop what she was doing to help anyone. She loved to exercise, including kickboxing, spending time outside, and enjoying the beach. She cherished her childhood dog, Roxy, and would decorate anything that she could put her hands on. Her infectious smile and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she leaves behind her brother, Jason and Michael Cavaco, her aunt Jackie Galopim, and cousins; Rose, Frank, and Carlos Galopim. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, from 10AM – 12PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA. Her funeral service will held in the funeral home at 12PM, following the visitation. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Salem.
