On behalf of the Haverhill Hound Rod & Gun Club, of which Wilson was a long time, and highly respected member, may I express our collective sorrow over his sudden and tragic loss. We wish to extend our deep and heart-felt sympathies to his family, as well as to the larger Peabody community of which he was also a life-long, and well-regarded fixture.<br> In respecting the wishes of his family, the Haverhill Hound Rod & Gun Club will be honored to make a memorial donation to the Red Cross Aid for Hurricane Harvey fund in his name.

Wilson, you will be missed dearly. You were the Captain of our family, and a great comfort through the years. Always looking out for us. A father and a grandfather. We are all in shock. We could never predict that you would be gone this soon. You taught my sons many things as they grew to love and respect you. I am forever thankful for that. Tanner and Tim had the utmost respect for you. We all enjoyed participating in your dream. Spending time working on your boat. Pulling staples, sanding, staining and cleaning up the boathouse. Excited, for the day you would launch. I imagine you sailing the bright blue sea into heaven, steering into paradise. With the passengers of your life who went before you. Rest in Peace, Wilson. We all were better to have had you in our lives.

To Wilson's family, I am so sorry to learn of my PHS classmate Wilson's passing. I last saw him at one of our PHS reunions, and he was as cheerful as in years past. On our visits to Peabody, my husband Roland, being a sailor too, would always drive by Wilson's home on Lowell Street to check on his boat building project. Know he will missed by his many family members. May he now enjoy his peaceful sailing into the everlasting clouds and the hands of our Lord. Peace be with you Wilson. Sincerely, Ruth (Amaral) & Roland Tripp, Cary, NC
