I have sadly lost many of my high school friends, but hearing of Scott's passing hit me hard. I'll always remember how we hated taking the bus home when our older sisters had to work after school or couldn't drive us home. I got my license first, so of course I couldn't wait to pick Scott up each morning! He even managed to tolerate the fact that I played the Sound of Music soundtrack (cassette) on our commute to school.... I think he secretly liked it. I always knew I would get a smile out of him when I called "Scotty D'!!" down the hall........ Rest In Peace Scotty, you made forever memories for me. Thank you for that. <br>Sending love and strength to you family

Back in the day, Scott's mother, Judy and my sister Wendy, who are sister in laws, would babysit my daughter Shelley...The kids were little then...Jennifer, Jason, Shelley and Scotty...Playing in the yard, meeting at Endicot Park, going to Stoneham Zoo and eventually going to the same pre-school together...Later, Wendy and Judy shared a 2 Family house in Peabody. Our families grew, Wendy had Jared and Jeremy and I had Kasey...My Dad, the kids called him Chillypapa, decided to take all of us (13 ) to Disney World in a Camper...Scotty was 6, same age as my daughter Shelley...It was quite an adventure! When he was a young teen, I nicknamed him Scoboy..Then Scott went into the Military and was deployed overseas...Then one day he was home on leave, visiting my sister's house in Beverly...My Dad and I went to my sister's specifically to see Scott...I had told Scotty on this visit that he was my hero and today I am so glad I told him that...And My Dad was so impressed and proud of this kid...knowing him since he was a baby and now a man in the military...Scott Is now among and flying with the Angels and is still a hero but for many many more reasons than just for being a military man..May his memory be eternal and may he rest in peace. With our deepest and sincere condolences to Scott's entire family...Kim and Rod Begin
