Obituary of Scott W. Damon
Scott W. Damon, 34 PEABODY – Scott W. Damon, 34, died unexpectedly on Thursday September 21, 2017 at the North Shore Medical Center—Union Hospital in Lynn. Born in Beverly, he was the son of William and Judy (Daley) Klemczuk. He grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School. He later attended North Shore Community College and the Peterson Trade School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom with tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq with the United States Army as a Helicopter mechanic. He flew with a medical evacuation unit and transported troops. Mr. Damon worked as a materials handler with General Electric in Lynn for several years. Scott loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted father to his three sons, and loved spending time with his kids, including watching Monster trucks and building Legos. Scott enjoyed cooking and was an avid Boston sports fan. He enjoyed watching all the Boston teams play, especially the New England Patriots. He watched Game of Thrones every week and enjoyed watching Star Wars as well. He also enjoyed reading and loved doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his parents, William and Judy Klemczuk of Peabody; three sons, Anthony, Jake, and Jaxyn Damon of Peabody; two sisters, Jennifer Akeley & her husband Brian of Beverly and Erin Klemczuk and her boyfriend Chris Ortins of Peabody; one brother William Klemczuk of Peabody; his grandfather John Daley of Beverly and his predeceased grandmother, Ann, and grandmother Theresa Klemczuk of Exeter, NH; several aunts and uncles including John & Unhui Daley, James & Wendy Daley, Jeffrey & Michelle Daley and their children Jason, James and his wife Shawna, Jared, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Joshua, Sarah, Chris, Adam, Tyler and Kourtney; two nieces Olivia and Abigail Akeley, and several extended family members on the North Shore. A visitation will be held on Tuesday Sept 26th from 4 – 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at 10 AM) from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery Peabody with Military Honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Damon Boys’ Scholarship Fund, c/o Luso-American Credit Union, 37 Tremont St., Peabody, MA 01960.
