Franggos family,
Sorry for your loss, I grew up on Lynnfields street and Charlie's was part of the community, he was even kind enough to let us stay inside the store and wait for the bus on bad days. May you find peace in this difficult time.

Glen Cassidy

To Charlie's Family and Friends, Please accept my sincere condolences for your (our) loss. My grandparents lived in the apartment above the store for many years and my best memories were on Sunday (every Sunday) when the 26 grandchildren visited one of us got to go downstairs to get bologna and bread for our dinner. Charlie always had a big laugh and a little treat for us! More recently I've seen him at the PHS Hall of Fame breakfast on Thanksgiving Day and he always had that wonderful smile. RIP Charlie - you will be missed. Love, Jeannie (and all of George and Ruth Smiths grandchildren)

Condolences to Charlie's family. Charlie was part of my life growing up in the area, back in the day when you could call Charlie to have something brought home with my dad on his daily stop there, the good ole days. My sisters and I were just reminiscing about Charlie this past weekend and the fond memories. God bless you Charlie, you are always in our memories.

We're all going to miss you Charlie, especially at Christmas. For many years
the old gang would gather at Mark and Marylou's house on Christmas morning to
honor and "roast" Charlie. We'd give him funny xmas cards, outrageous boxer
shorts and hats, losing scratch tickets, and expired lottery tickets; and
criticize whatever treats he brought. As we were leaving he would say "You guys
give me crazy gifts, tease me, give me the business, and you know what, I love
every minute of it. Thank you very much." Christmas mornings will never be the
same without you.

I am so sorry to hear of Charle's passing. He lived across the street from us and we shared the same birthday, 4/22. He was a kind man and an icon of the community. I have fond memories of Charlie and going to his store. May he rest in peace and you find peace in your treasured memories of him. God Bless.
