When I was a small boy I loked up to him with awe and respect. In manhood I saw a diligent, honest man who would do anything for his wife and family. He was my heroe and we will all miss him greatly.
In later years I referred to him as the son of ELI and we spoke by phone several times a year. Last July I returned to Boston to see him again. He was relaxed and not in much pain yet. The good Lord will welcome him with open arms but we still on earth will miss his warmth and good nature.
Rick and Sue Bottcher
Shelby Twp. Michigan

Sorry for your loss even though I was only related to him for a short period of time he had a very positive influence on me. Charlie only knew one way to do things "the right way" whether it was guiding his family through life or his many construction projects he never took any shortcuts.
His love and affection for his family was displayed in many ways and I'm glad I was part of that and will always remember him fondly.
I hope you find happiness and peace in celebrating his life, he was real gentleman.
Please accept my sympathies.
Matt Steele

We are so very sorry for the loss of this very special man, my Uncle Charlie. We mourn your loss, too, as you celebrate the wonderfully full life of a man who was always happiest when surrounded by his family. Uncle was a great brother to my mother, Virginia, and she always enjoyed her three week July stays with Aunt Jean and Uncle Charlie. Dave bonded with him 29 years ago through their "handyman" stories, love of jazz, and a passion for East Coast seafood. Uncle Charlie always knew where the best, least expensive fried clams and lobster were. He introduced us to his famous "Gardener's Delight" tomatoes. He was a kind, gentle man, with a great sense of humor. He was a great emotional support to me during the last few months of my mother's life, as we had weekly long talks on the phone. Uncle Charlie was a very special uncle. We love our Follett family very much and share in your grief.
