Obituary of Ronald J. Cordero
Ronald J. Cordero, 60 PEABODY – Ronald J. Cordero, 60, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday March 23, 2018, after taking an ill turn. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John J. and Joan A. (McRobbie) Cordero. He graduated from Peabody High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Cordero worked his entire 38-year career in the Aircraft Engine Division at General Electric where he developed many friendships, and retired a year ago. Ron enjoyed spending much of his time at his home in Wakefield, NH on Pine River Pond, and was a member of the Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed all seasons there, operating his snowmobile or out on his boat. Of course, he enjoyed riding his Harley from Peabody up to New Hampshire and enjoying the ride along the way in life. He enjoyed all Boston sports teams, especially the New England Patriots. He was happy spending time with family and friends both in Peabody and in New Hampshire. He is survived by his fiance Theresa Moore of Wakefield, NH; his brother Richard Cordero & wife Roberta, and two sisters Lori Gamache & husband Paul, and Cheri Cordero all of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday March 29, 2018 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Liturgy Service at 11 AM in St. Ann’s Church Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Urn burial in Swampscott Cemetery will be at a later date.
