Obituary of Nella Mitkus

Nella Mitkus, 92, of Peabody and formerly of Lynnfield, died on Saturday May 12 at Brooksby Village, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Harry Mitkus, of Lynnfield, MA. Born in Lithuania, she was the daughter of the late Kasimir and Ona Kiela. Nella is survived by her son, Lawrence Mitkus of Rowley, her two daughters, Karen Dolan of Reading, and Catherine Mitkus of Newton, her sister-in-law, Jennie Kielo, her nieces and nephews, Gary Kielo, Joanne Kielo, James Kielo, Elaine Kielo, Jennifer Kielo and Donald Crombie, her 5 grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service is planned on Saturday June 23 at 2:00 at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 300 Brooksby Village Drive in Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
