I was so sorry to hear of Dana's passing - please accept my condolences for your loss.
It's odd - I was just talking about him last weekend i.e., referring to him as one of the 'hunky guys' that drove a bus for YMCA Camp Spindrift in the early-mid 1960's. All the girls had a crush on him. And he was so pleasant and easygoing. I saw him again at the gym in Gloucester around 1990 - the same good looking, nice guy. Anyone who knew Dana should consider themselves lucky - he will be missed.

Kaellen & Tommy,
I'm so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. He was a wonderful person with a dry sense of humor. I'll always remember when Jimmy, Bobby & myself were young teachers back in the early '70's we lived in an apartment in Danvers and Dana would come up and visit every now and then - we had some great laughs sitting around telling stories. Occasionally, Dana would come out on weekend fishing trips on Jimmy's Father's boat, "The Green Monster" and we all shared some good laughs along with a few beers. Dana was lots of fun to be with and some of the discussions would get very cerebral with Dana leading the way. Those memories will be etched in my mind forever.
Dana was simply a really good person, an excellent mentor, a wonderful husband, father and friend. I'm deeply saddened by his passing - we all lost one of the good guys.

So sorry to hear of Dana's passing.
When I was a little kid, newspaper boy, and Dana was in high school, he would wait for me to get to his house on my route, to spot him while he did his bench presses, 300+ pounds. If he got stuck, I would slide the 50 lb. plates off the bar for him. He would later be my YMCA councilor.
Although I hadn't heard anything of him in years I was not surprised reading his obituary and seeing the great man he would become. He was always a role model for me.
His family and friends are in our prayers.
God Bless

Jerry Goulart Jr.

Dear Kaellen and Tom, Please accept Lana's and my deepest condolences. Dana was a colleague, mentor, longtime friend, and sometimes big brother. In 1970, he broke me in and showed me how physical education was taught in Peabody. Dana was a champion for the underprivileged and troubled kid. He gave a gentle push in the right direction to many. He has touched many people in Peabody in a special way throughout the years and has left a huge void. To me, he was a mix of Aristotle and Hercules in his own way. May Dana rest in peace and know that he did a great good for people that will hold him dear. His memories will live in my heart forever.
