Elaine, Karen, Rick-- condolences and prayers on the loss of your Dad. He was my favorite uncle by far, always ready with a smile and a kind word, and always interested in what I was doing and what I had to say. I loved how later in life, when he and my 90-year-old Dad would get together, Sal would refer to him as "my kid brother." The two of them would grin from ear to ear; it was wonderful to watch them share those last moments of familial bonding. Uncle Sal had a great life, filled with service to his country, dedication to his family, and the kindness and sense of humor he carried with him throughout his life. God bless him and may he rest in eternal peace with his beloved wife.
