Obituary of June M. (McIntosh) McNeill

June M. (McIntosh) McNeill, 68, of Peabody, wife of John D. McNeill, passed away at Beverly Hospital on July 17, 2018 with her caring and loving family at her side. June was born in Boston on June 23, 1950, the daughter of the late William J. and H. Mary (Rose) McIntosh. June was raised in Dorchester, MA and she graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain. She pursued her education at Northeastern University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and a Master’s in Business Administration while residing in Hawaii. From 1972 to 2016 June was employed as a physical therapist; most recently at Early Intervention in Stoneham where she specialized in pediatric therapy with children ranging from birth to 3 years of age. June was a member of the Physical Therapy Association. June was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family and friends and so enjoyed spending many hours with her 2 grandchildren. In addition to her husband John with whom she shared 46 years of marriage, she is survived by her children, Andrew McNeill and his wife Darla Champigny of Beverly, William McNeill, and Aurora Rose McNeill of Peabody and her cherished grandchildren, Jack and Leighton McNeill; a brother and sister-in-law, Brewer and Kay McIntosh of Hyannis, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 22nd from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, July 23rd followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. The family requested that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/MANH . A family interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
