Obituary of Joseph Martin Walsh

Joseph M. Walsh, age 33, of Salem, formerly of Peabody, passed away on Wednesday July 18, 2018. He was the son of Kathleen P. (Needham) Walsh and the late Robert F. Walsh of Peabody. Joseph was a long time Peabody resident before moving to Salem a year ago. A graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School and Emmanuel College, Joe worked as a paralegal for Versik in North Reading. He was an avid kayaker and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. In addition to his outdoor activities he was politically active with the Republican Committee in Peabody and had served on the Conservation Commission for the City of Peabody. In addition to his loving mother Kathleen, Joseph is survived by his sister Michelle Walsh, his brothers Robert F. Walsh Jr and his wife Karen, Patrick M. Walsh, Ryan D. Walsh and his wife Katie, seven nieces and one grandniece and one grandnephew. At the request of his family services for Joseph are private. Donations in his memory can be made to Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Ave. Salem, MA 01970. Care and arrangements for Joseph have been entrusted to the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Homes 82 Lynn St. Peabody, MA.
