I hold such fond memories of Jeanette, as the mother of my best friend. All during our school days, she was the most patient, "coolest" mother in the neighborhood. She was also a professional working single mom, when there weren't many of them back in those days. She balanced everything so well, and has two wonderful daughters and their families to show for it. Jeanette and I shared a love of quilting and she always had a beautiful quilt in progress on her lap. She taught by example and her positive outlook on life will live on. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Simmons.
