My deepest condolences to Dick's family and friends. I also count myself fortunate with many others for having had the opportunity to learn the complexities of labor relations from a Master. Dick was the consummate negotiator who never tired of peeling the onion closer to mutually beneficial solutions. I cherish the memories of being at Dick's side during Lynn's so-called "Respect Strike" in 1986, and of our drives to Fairfield together at that time, when Dick would drill down into issues and challenge me for the entire drive too keep up. May "flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

When thinking of Dick one key word comes to mind...Loyalty. Over the years in a demanding work environment, I could always count on Dick for a positive approach to a challenging issue laced with a light, upbeat, insightful anecdote.
My sincere condolences to Nancy and family members on my work associate and, more importantly, my friend Dicks passing. He was an approachable, embraceable, and respected businessman, a true leader in the Lynn GE Aviation Plant.

Nancy and family: My heartfelt condolences. Dick was a very special person and I owe much of what career became to his willingness to take a chance on a green kid from Cincinnati fresh out of law school. He was unfailing kind and taught me much about labor relations and life - lessons that I carry with me to this day. May he rest in eternal peace.

My deepest condolences to the Leslie family on the passing of Dick. I have know Dick ( and brother Charlie for over 60 years beginning with playing tag football in the Tracy schoolyard to working together at GE for over 40 years. He was s great guy that you could rely on for good counsel and sound common sense. His advice and decisions reflected balance and fairness in the most difficult of negotiations and his word was his bond. He was equally respected by both management and union officials. But most importantly, he shared his knowledge and experience and mentored numerous younger human resource professionals within GE who will serve as his legacy.
He was the ultimate team player and he will be missed by all.
Mike Carroll
(Formerly of Grove St., Lynn)
