I just learned today of Donna's passing. She was smiling always. Always. Even though it became obvious that she was struggling, her attitude was an inspiration to us her co-workers at Christianbook. My sympathy to her family at this great loss.

We are thinking of you all during this difficult time. Donna left an amazing legacy for her family. She was always so upbeat and positive and was ALWAYS happy whenever I saw her. She truly was one of the most amazing woman I have met in my lifetime. May fond family memories sustain you as you learn to navigate life without her earthly presence. xoxoxo

I worked with Donna at CBD for many years. I cannot recall ever seeing her without her Beautiful smile. She inspired me in so many ways and I am Blessed for having known her. My sincerest Condolences to all her family whom she adored and talked about all the time with so much pride and joy. My fondest memory is sharing stories about our grandchildren. I am so sorry I cannot attend her wake/service tonight as I am away. Please kiss her for me, until we meet again. I Love you My Beautiful Friend.

I think that Donna was the most "real" person I ever met. Working alongside her for almost 20 years I cannot remember one word of complaint or anger that ever passed her lips. She was always more concerned for others than she was for herself, and never lacked for a smile or a kind word. Working in an office environment we had a lot of birthdays, and one of my favorite memories of Donna was the smile and the little clap of the hands whenever I would place a piece of cake on her desk. Donna cherished the small things in life that we often take for granted. Now she will hear the words she has longed to hear, "well done good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master".

I loved Donna, who was a great help to me when I was pastor of her church in Lake Shore Park. I enjoyed our excursions into Boston, as well as visiting at her home. I am deeply saddened by her loss, although I know my grief does not approach that of her family. I am very glad to have known her and all of the family. God bless you all. Judith

I worked on the green team with Donna in Customer Service at Christian Book Distributiors for many years. My fondest memories were joining her on walks around the perimeter for the Walkng program. Donna was "out there" mornings and afternoons. We would have conversations about our families and her joyful expression said it all. She LOVED her children and grandkids. She was a quiet but ardent prayer warrior and we met together for a prayer time at CBD. Donna was the only other person who took notes in shorthand as I did. Another little thing we shared. She was never without a smile and, yet you knew she was struggling as her battle continued. She was a great model. I am much richer for having known this woman if God.
