Obituary of Donna M (Nason) Stella

Donna M (Nason) Stella, 69, of Peabody and formerly of Beverly, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of John C Stella with whom she shared over 43 years of marriage. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Marguerite (Sherman) Nason. She was raised and educated in Beverly and upon marrying her husband, has lived in Peabody for the past 43 years. After graduating high school, Donna attended and graduated from Burdett College and then started working for the law office of Wassamen and Salter Associates in Boston. She later was employed with Christian Book Distributors in Peabody as a phone customer service representative both full-time and part-time over the last 20 years where she recently retired. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lynn until the merger with Grace United Methodist in Lynn where she continued attending church. She was very active in the church and was a member of the book club and bible study groups and enjoyed doing food and clothing drives for the church as well. She enjoyed reading, having her coffee, and enjoyed gatherings with her family and friends and appreciated the food she ate. She also was a Ham Radio Operator with her husband and her call sign was WA1RRK. She was most proud of being a Nana. Besides her loving husband John whom was a former employee of Hewlett Packard in Andover, she is survived by her three sons, Charles and his wife Tommi-Lee Stella and their children, Anna and Anthony Stella of Wakefield, Roy Stella of Salem, and John C. Stella, Jr of Saugus, her daughter, Donna and her husband Chris Tresca and their son, Carter Tresca of Halifax. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and her funeral service will start at 6:30 PM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Grace United Methodist Church, 374 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904.
