Obituary of Anthony Samas

Anthony Samas, 84, of Venice Florida and Formerly of Wallace Ann Road, Peabody, died Monday evening at the Bon Secours Hospital in Venice, Florida after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Fox) Samas and later the late Rita (Small) Mc Clellan Samas. He was born in Peabody on May 5, 1919, the son of the late Izidors and Anna (Parvarzas) Samas and had resided in Peabody most of his life before moving to Venice Florida 16 years ago. He was a Sales Rep for the former A.C.Lawrence Leather Co., Peabody for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was active in Peabody politics serving as Councillor of Ward 2 for two terms and was President of the City Council in 1957. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Caroline Samas of Venice, Fl., 3 step sons, David Mc Clellan of Costa Rica, Jack Mc Clellan of Venice, Fl. and Jim Mc Clellan of Live Oak, Fl., 8 grandchldren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 a.m from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the12Chestnut St.Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John's Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
