Mr. Cap was the best teacher, mentor, and friend I had in HS. It was an unmitigated blessing to have been his student. God bless and comfort you! Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

Mr. Cap was a great, loving man of God. So many days after school he'd take time to chat with me in his classroom; he was a true mentor, counselor and friend. Even as a teenager, I saw my time with Mr. Cap as well-spent (even on a Friday). Although it's been over 30 years since last we met, I find myself tearing up as I write this. While I deeply regret not having kept in contact him, I do and always will treasure the time we had. Mr. Cap sets the bar inestimably high for teachers, and people in general. I can only hope and pray to have such a good and lasting influence as Mr. Cap continues to have on me and (undoubtedly) on others. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Sadly and respectfully,
Tim

MR Capomaccio was our sponsor for confirmation class at St Margrets in Saugus along with being a teacher at jr and saugus high. One thing he taught our class there is right and wrong and always remember the consequences of your actions. If you do wrong and know it, think of problems if you do wrong and if you get caught you knew and have to live with it. I always remember that throughout my life. He was a very holy man. God Bless you, you were a gift from God for all that knew you through the years. I haven't seen you in 35 years but always remember what you taught and love you showed your students. To his family sorry for your loss but our faith comforts us. I lost my Mom 7 years ago and she also was a saugus teacher and the students that left messages on Funeral website when she passed, meant so much to our family hope this brings comfort to know what he meant to his students from Saugus

Capomaccio family: I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Cap's passing. He was a true gentleman who I have the pleasure of having in Jr & High School. We shared cards and letters for 36 years and I treasured him as my FRIEND. Words cannot express how sorely I am that he has passed. I have never met nor will meet another person like Mr. Capomaccio. This man knew the true meaning of LOVE.

My sincere condolences to Mr. Cap's family. He was the kindest man and great teacher. So many memories of him, but the one that stands out is of him moving his ears when only I was looking! No one else would ever see him! What a wonderful person. Celebrate his life.
Karen Kay
Class of 1985
Saugus High School

"John Cap" was a great mentor, a kind, caring, and fun loving person. John was always able to see the glass half full. Always a true educator and a dear colleague and friend in Saugus and beyond. John was one of the most devout and nicest man I ever worked with. I worked with him in the Guidance Dept. at Saugus Jr. High School many years ago. He was always so kind, soft spoken and very religious man. I would also see him in the front row when I attended St. Theresa's Church in North Reading years ago. If John is not in Heaven, the rest of us don't have a prayer then! Rest in peace John. My life has been enriched from knowing this sincere, holy man. My deepest condolences to his dear wife Angie and family.
