Obituary of Neil D. Frazer

Neil D. Frazer, 68, of Peabody, died Friday evening in the Hospice Center at North Shore Medical Center, Salem. He was the husband of Judith (Kelly) Frazer with whom he shared in 43 years of marriage. He was born in London, England on April 9, 1936, the son of the late Ian and Maude (Hawick) Frazer and resided there before moving to Peabody in 1968. He was recruited by the RCA Corporation to be a computer engineer where he worked for many years. For the past seven years, he was a civilian contractor at Hanscom AFB in Bedford working as an IT specialiast and support technician. An accomplished golfer, he was captain of the Liverpool University, England golf Team and was well known in both the United Kingdom and the North Shore of Massachusetts having won several club championships and golf tournaments. He and his wife and family were members of the Thomson Country Club in No. Reading for the past 33 years. Surviving him besides his wife, are 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew Frazer and his wife, Iris Ann Nelson of Sunnyvale, Ca. and Timothy Frazer, a golf pro at the Ferncroft Country Club, Danvers and his wife Amie Frazer of Peabody, a granddaughter, Catherine Elisabeth Frazer of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alistair Frazer. His Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Assumption church, Grove St., Lynnfield at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA. 01923.
