Obituary of Lois A Fellows
Lois Fellows, 92 of Peabody, died peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice house in Danvers with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Allen E. Fellows who died in 1993. She was born in Peabody, MA on May 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Almon and Marion (Thomas) Massey and was a life long resident of the city.
Lois was a graduate of Peabody High School and later in her life from the Essex Agricultural Nursing School in Middleton. She had been a licensed Practical Nurse at the Beverly Hospital for over 20 years prior to her retirement.
Lois love to sew and cook, especially her decorated cakes that she made for her family at special events. She was a member of the South Congregational Church, Peabody and had been a leader in the Pioneer Girls of Peabody and also was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution, Gettysburg chapter. He most cherished time was spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Ann Fellows of Middleton, her grandchildren, Michael Fellows of Middleton, Andrew Fellows and his wife Kirsten Of Brookline and Julia and her husband Joshua Kanter and her great grandson Odin Fellows all of Middleton her sisters, Gertrude Dearborn and Phyllis Bartkiewicz both of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Shirley Meyers, Barbara Bozak and Eleanor Spinelli.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the South Congregational Church, Prospect St., Peabody with Rev. Grant Hoofnagle officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Brooksby Village Benevolent Fund, 100 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody MA 01960 in her memory.
