Obituary of Alfred J. Ouellette

 

 

 

Alfred J. “Butch" Ouellette, 73, of Danvers, MA, died peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2019 at his residence that he built with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” (White) Ouellette with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Butch was born in Danvers, MA on March 28, 1946, the son of the late Alfred and Bertha (Kozicki) Ouellette and was raised in Salem, MA graduating from Salem High School. He later graduated from Northeastern Technical School in Boston and began working the X-ray field for more than 40 years before retiring from Associated X-Ray Imaging Company.

Butch loved working with his hands and helped build his home in Danvers and also helped others build additions and repairs. He was an avid model train collector and built sets in his home. Butch and Betsy enjoyed traveling to Aruba, Disney World with the family and taking houseboat cruises in the lakes in Ireland, Scotland and Holland. He passed his building skills on to his children. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Beverly and the Odd Fellows Lodge of Salem.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy, a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kerri Ouellette all of Danvers, a daughter, Elizabeth Ray Ouellette of Peabody, a brother James Ouellette of Punta Gorda, Florida, his precious grandchildren, Violet Ouellette and, Andrew, Anthony and Adam Poretsky, his sister-in-law and husband, Peggy and Steve Schevis, a brother-in-law, Ray White of Ormand Beach, Florida,  his very dear friends, Brian Crosby and  Ron Skinner to name a few, and many nieces and nephews and family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A family service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem MA.
