Obituary of Philippa M DiLiberto

Merrimac – Philippa M. (DiLeo) DiLiberto 90, beloved wife of Dominic F. DiLiberto, passed away March 9, 2020 surrounded by her family. In addition to her husband with whom she shared sixty-nine years of marriage, she is survived by her daughter, Theresa Luciano of Peabody, two sons, Frank DiLiberto and his wife Sharon of Georgetown, and Donald DiLiberto of Merrimac. Also survived by her grandchildren, Richard Luciano of Dover, NH, Michael DiLiberto of Belmont and Kristen DiLiberto and her fiancé, Derek Bieringer of Medford, her three brothers, Dominic DiLeo and his wife Frances of Medford, Richard DiLeo and his wife Claire of Danvers and Mario DiLeo and his wife Rose Marie of East Boston. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Catalfamo of Peabody and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Nina Stassano, and her brothers Tony and Joe DiLeo. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Anna (Bruno) DiLeo. She was a graduate of Medford High School. Prior to living in Merrimac, she had resided in Peabody for thirty-six years, as well as Lake Havasu City, AZ. Philippa had a strong faith and was a member of St. Adelaide’s Church in Peabody for many years. Philippa (Fran) had been employed at Marshall’s in Peabody. Prior to that she had worked for her husband’s business, Touraine Furniture in Saugus and as a young woman at Filene’s Department Store in Boston. She had dedicated most of her life to raising her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Contributions may be made in her memory to Catholic Charities, 13 Pulaski St, Peabody, MA 01960.
