I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about her passing today (5/18). She was an amazing person. I remember her sitting at the kitchen table at the residence at Lakeside talking about the kids. She always had some funny anecdote about each child and was always thinking of ways she could help each of them. She loved each one of them and the smile on her face would light up a room. I consider myself fortunate to have known her as I admired her for her caring and concern.

Memories of Joy always bring a smile to our faces. Joy singing in the choir or the days of Vacation Bible School activities with my mother, Ruth. The way she could laugh at herself when things didn't go quite right. I can picture her sitting in her chair at Gunstock enjoying the sun and reading a book. One of my family's fondest memories of Joy is when we celebrated her birthday while camping at Gunstock. After a great day we all got together for a little Happy Hour, as we frequently did. Only this time we talked and ate for such a long time that we decided to skip dinner and in true Joy fashion go straight to Weeks Ice Cream for dessert. After all, it was Joy's birthday which meant she got a free ice cream. While at Weeks Phil convinced my brother, Glenn, that if they ran out of Jimmies they might have to use "Glennies" instead. With it being Joy's birthday, we also stopped to enjoy the local fireworks. Joy will always be a big part of my childhood memories. Thank you Joy!! May you Rest in Peace.
To Phil and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you have so many memories that will hopefully bring a smile to your face as you think of Joy. I hope you can take comfort knowing that she isn't suffering or confused any longer. She will live on in your hearts. Your big loving family is her legacy and I know she is proud of each and every one of you.
You have our sympathy, our love, our thoughts and prayers,
Linda Quigley and family

Dear Phil, Debbie, David, Donnie, Dan and Family,
So sorry to hear of Joy's passing. She was a loving, patient, exceptional woman and I have the best memories of her kindness. I was just telling my son the other day how I grew up next to the best neighbors, who brought us to Lynn Woods, took the youth group to NY and how Joy always made me feel so welcome as a child ... and I was always over your house.
My heart is with you all in your loss. Love, Nancy Medina

To the Terenzoni/Lewis family,
Please accept our condolences on the death of Mrs. Terenzoni. She had so many connections to our family. She grew up in our wonderful home at 55 Sadler St. Her husband taught my sons at Lynn Classical and she was a kind and welcoming staff member to my late father who loved the South Peabody library.
May she rest in perfect peace.

"Lukie" and I started out together in the first grade at Lincoln School. We were Brownies and Girl Scouts and played catch-up at school reunions. I also followed a part of her life at the Lakeside School through Dr. Howie Abrams, when I worked as a psychiatric nurse counselor at Salem Hospital. To Phil and all of your family, please accept my prayers to give you strength until you are together again. I hope, that with time, all of your memories together will bring comfort to you. I will never forget "Lukie"!
God bless you all! Judie (Wright) David Peabody formally of West Lynn

Saturday Grammie went home to be with Jesus. She was a wonderful Grammie, lavishing her love on all her grandchildren, but I know I was her favorite, she always said I was her coffee ice cream! (She said that to each of us) Growing up we lived 4.5 hours away (the other 10 cousins lived in the same town as her) but I never felt less special. She was so excited that I went to college at her alma mater, Gordon and many times told me she was glad that I had "come home". She opened her home to me, my new boyfriend (now husband) Glen, and all my friends. Even really late at night to use the hot tub! I lived in the rooms upstairs for a couple summers and after graduating and so did 3 of my friends! I got ready for my wedding at her house and lived there with Glen between our condo and new house. How excited she was for beautiful Katelyn Joy to be born, who shared our middle name! From the very beginning Kate loved her Grammie Joy and we spent many hours playing in the secret room at her house. Ryan comes along and he could always make her smile. I pray that my children will always have these memories of her, even if they are dim. Although I used She in this post, you could change them all to They. It is hard for me to even imagine Grammie without Papa. They truly were one, holding hands wherever they went. I will love and miss her forever and I praise God for making her my Grammie!
