I am one of the quilters at the Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church in Melrose, where Dan worked the last couple years. I am so sorry for your loss. The quilters met at the church on Friday mornings and we often saw Dan going about his work steadily and carefully. Occasionally he joined us for birthday cake if we had a celebration. He was a true gentleman and we will miss him.

I had the privilege of working with Dan briefly this past year at Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church. He was always a gentleman and always had a smile on his face. I remember him with warmth and I share my sincere sympathy with his family. He always spoke very lovingly of you all.

Nancy, I want to express my sincere condolences to you, your children, grandchildren and Dan's family and friends. I am truly sorry to learn of Dan's passing. We are Dan’s in-laws and live out of state. Any time we were at family gatherings, Dan would come up to us with that big, wonderful smile, give you a hug and tell you how happy he was to see you.
