Obituary of Earl Daniel Crooker

Earl Daniel Crooker “Dan the Man”, age 80, of Peabody gained his wings on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 with his loving wife and daughter by his side. He was the beloved husband to Nancie (Slade) Crooker, whom he shared 50 years of his life with. Born in Boston, MA on June 29,1940, he was the son to the late Ernest Crooker and Daisy Dee Crooker. Dan graduated Lynnfield High School and went on to receive licenses as an oil burner technician, pipe fitter, and HVAC technician. Earl is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Nancie Crooker, of Peabody. He is survived by his children: Daniel Crooker and Kelly Crooker, of Florida; and Ashley Tina and her husband Matthew Tina, of Swampscott; his grandchildren: Jessie Hoover, of Florida; Madelyn Tina and Lucy Tina, of Swampscott; his siblings, Melanie Donovan and Betty Rivard. In addition to Dan’s immediate family, he is survived by the love of many. Dan was a wonderful person who exuded love and kindness to everyone he met. He always had something kind and positive to display in both his words and actions. His biggest job while on earth was to help people see the good in everything. Dan loved woodworking, fishing, cars, and boating. He enjoyed the calmness and beauty of the ocean. He loved nature. His biggest passion was photography. Dan always had a camera in hand, and he used his skills to capture the biggest love in his life, his family and friends. It is now Dan’s time to reunite with his son Andrew in heaven. May he continue to fly and soar as he embarks on an even greater journey. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 18, from 10 – 11A.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 A.M. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
