Obituary of Michael A Spolsino

Michael A Spolsino, 73, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody. He was the devoted husband of Betty (Figliolini) Spolsino with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Carmella (Orio) Spolsino. He was raised and educated in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School, class of 1966. After high school, Michael enlisted with the United States Army and served for 2 years in Vietnam before his honorable discharge in 1968. Following the war, he continued his education at Salem State College and received his bachelor’s degree in 1972. Michael was employed for over 20 years as a salesman for Land Rover in Peabody and Bedford, NH before retiring a few years ago. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Danielle Spolsino of NH and his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jason Straqualursi of Peabody, his brother, Frank Spolsino of East Boston and is also survived by his beloved two grandchildren, Matthew and Nathan Straqualursi. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well. Funeral and Burial Services will be private.
