I know what a loss Ruthie's family is experiencing. I have known Ruthie for over 50 years. We were both active at St. Vasilios Church as Sunday school teachers and working to raise money for the PTA. Our children grew up together and I remember the many days we would pack up the kids and meet at Salem Willows. She was a wonderful person and a good example to her children as she didn't have a mean bone in her body.
I will miss meeting her for lunch or breakfast when I make my annual trip to Peabody in the summer.
Until we meet again, may she rest in peace.
