Obituary of Michael G. DeMayo

Pembroke - Michael George DeMayo 65, of Pembroke, formerly of Peabody, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving husband and sisters after a courageous fight with cancer. Born on July 11, 1955 he was the son of the late George and Yolanda DeMayo. Michael was predeceased by his brother, George DeMayo and survived by his husband, Joseph J. O’Neil, sisters, Elizabeth, Carolyn and her husband, Fred and brothers, Robert, Kevin and his wife Mary. Michael was employed by Northeast Nursery in Peabody, MA as a landscape designer for over 20 years where he enjoyed bringing visual designs to life with his crew. He won multiple awards on their behalf for his work and loved the time spent at Northeast. Michael’s family would like to thank everyone from the Plymouth Cancer Center for all of the love and support they showed us during this challenging time. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beth Israel Hospital Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360 or any local animal shelter of your choice.
