Obituary of Dolores A. Haddon

Dolores A. Haddon, 91, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Brudnick Center in Peabody, following a brief illness. She was beloved wife of the late Robert Haddon. Dolores was born in Lynn, MA, on February 1, 1930, daughter of the late Arthur and Irene (Warren) Monteith. She was raised and educated in Lynn. Dolores spent most of life as a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family and making sure everyone was taken care of. Her family was the light of her life and her greatest joy was spending the summers watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren learn to swim and play in her pool. She was an active member of Lakeside, Wesley, and Grace United Methodist Church in Lynn for years. She also volunteered her time at the Clothes Closet at Grace Church. She considered her church family her second family and loved them dearly. Most of all, she loved and adored her grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren, she lived for them, and will be forever missed for the love she gave all her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters; Janice Haddon of Beverly, Jane George and her husband Scott of Salem; her grandchildren, Robert Bencal, Haley Bencal, Amanda George, Meredith George, Hillary Theofane and her husband Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Griffen and Autumn Gagne, and Eva Leadvaro; her siblings, Lois Coogan and Judith Monteith, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Robert, Arthur, and Lillian Monteith. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, service for Dolores will be held privately. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
