Obituary of Priscilla M. Pierce
The Pierce family of Peabody has lost its matriarch and family center, Priscilla Pierce. She slipped away peacefully in her sleep, March 15th, in the home she shared for 73 years with her husband, David. Together, they raised eight children, and as their extended family grew, Priscilla remained its heart.
From the moment you walked in the door, Priscilla’s face would light up in a glowing welcome, as if you were the most important person in the world, and then the conversation would flow, and there was a lot of it, always interesting, always holding your attention. On holidays, the Pierce family would crowd into the family home, and it would bulge at the seams with love and laughter, fun and good food. She will be missed forever.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Diane Pierce of Peabody and James and Janet Pierce of Gloucester, her four daughters, Linda O’Connor of Peabody, Carol Hutchinson of Beverly, Debra Ford of FL, and Laurie Bourque of CT, her beloved grandchildren, Tracey, Tonya, Brianna, Kelsey, Melissa, Lily, Katie, Allen, and Paul, Jr, and is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Ben, Emma, Caitlin, and Adam. She was predeceased by her son John Pierce, her daughter, Judith Pierce, and her siblings, Marshall Washburn and Nancy Muse.
All services for Priscilla will be held privately and a celebration will be held later.
